Rich Media Specs
SheKnows has the capability to serve rich media ads served by most third party vendors. SheKnows approval is needed on all such ads before launch. Please see the specs below and feel free to contact us with any questions that are not answered below!
VIDEO ADVERTISING
Availability: Sold with companion 300x250 (non-expandable) banner ad that appears within SheKnows audio/video player.
Restrictions: Sound and video must be user-initiated. Pre-play requires prior approval and may be subject to minimum buys.
Additional Instructions: Ads require five business days lead time.
EMBEDDED VIDEO (In-page)
Technologies Included: Flash, third party
Availability: Poster units, Launch pads and interstitials.
Restrictions: Sound must be user-initiated. We recommend that video has stop, play and pause buttons. Interstitial and/or expandable ad policies may apply if video is used with either format.
Additional Instructions: If building in Flash, an alt.gif is required. Ads require 4 business days lead time.
EXPANDABLE ADS
Technologies Included: Javascript/Flash, Enliven, Pointroll
Definition: Allows ad to expand on mouse-over or click interaction.
Availability: All standard ad units.
Restrictions: Ad must be identified as expandable and can not take up more then 50% of the page size. A visible close button in the upper right corner of the expanded ad is required and must allow the user to close the ad at any time. Mouse-overs can only be accepted in standard ad positions. For mouse-overs, ad must contract back to the original ad size once user mouses away from the ad. Sound must be user-initiated. Third-party serving fees apply.
INTERSTITIALS
Technologies Included: FPBA CommFlash, Unicast, In-House
Definition: An ad that appears between SheKnows pages.
Availability: Please consult your SheKnows sales representative.
Restrictions: SheKnows only accepts full page interstitials (810x550 unit size or smaller). 300K max download triggered upon site entry. Interstitial may play for a maximum of 15 seconds. Sound must be user-initiated. Ads must auto-close upon play completion. Data capture ads must auto-close after 15 seconds. Interstitials are available to one advertiser per day: number of plays is capped at 1 per 24 hours. Third party serving fees apply.
